Everything you need to know about our packaging solutions.
1. Product question
Are the pouches food-grade?
Which pouch type is right for my product?
The right pouch depends on product size, weight, shelf-life requirements, and branding goals. Stand-up pouches are suitable for dry goods; flat or spout pouches for liquids or single-use items; non-window pouches for longer shelf life; window pouches for visual appeal and shelf presence.
What shelf life can your pouches support?
The pouches are designed to maintain freshness and product integrity, typically offering a shelf life of 12–24 months depending on the product and storage conditions.
Can I order custom pouch sizes?
Yes. Standard pouch sizes and quantities are available through the website, and custom sizes can also be produced based on product and brand requirements. Custom sizes may require additional production time.
What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for custom pouches?
The standard MOQ for custom-printed pouches is typically around 1,000 pieces, depending on size, material, and printing method.
Can I combine multiple print designs in a single order?
Yes. Multiple designs can be included in a single order. MOQ applies to the entire order, not per design. Up to 10 different designs can be included in an order of 5,000 pouches.
Can you add zippers, degassing valves, or specialty fitments?
Yes. Zippers are added after printing, and PackiQ can also produce pouches with degassing valves and other specialty fitments.
How should the pouches be sealed?
Pouches should be heat-sealed at 120–175°C. Zippers are not substitutes for sealing. Impulse sealers are recommended for small batches and continuous band sealers for larger volumes.
2. Artwork Questions
What file formats do you recommend?
Can you help if I don't have artwork ready?
Yes. The design team can help create or finalize packaging artwork and provide pre-print services to ensure accurate execution.
Can you match colours from a previous printer?
Yes. PackiQ aims to match existing artwork colours as closely as possible to maintain consistency and reduce inconvenience.
Can you print Pantone spot colours?
Yes. Pantone spot colours can be printed for precise brand colour matching. Exact Pantone codes should be provided with the artwork.
Do you print directly onto finished pouches?
No. Printing is done on a flat film web, which is later laminated and converted into pouches during production.
Will I receive a digital proof before production?
Yes. A digital proof is provided for approval before production begins.
Can I get a printed mock-up before bulk production?
Yes. Printed mock-ups can be arranged for a fee before bulk production.
